Picture perfect

A casual passing shot taken in Buffalo. Took it to capture the clouds but the train added a special touch to the picture. Taken with a Canon S3 IS.

Tranquility

Taken with the Kodak c330 in August 2006. A very idyllic and calm setting. It was after my dip in the river :o).

July 4th again

My second July 4th here in the US. Well we missed more than half of it to start with, we were still driving to the waterfront when the fireworks started. But then again, it was good while it lasted. But sadly I couldn't make good use of my Canon. Half the time I was trying to find the "fireworks" scene mode and rest of the time coping with learning to use it and then again there was the maybe I should look and not take pictures or take video and not pictures. Not at all impressed with what I could snap but I like this one particular picture, caught it when it had just started cracking up and so the sparks are dense and more colorful. And the "fireworks" mode does help make the picture less grainy.

Flight

This shot took quite an effort. Just couldn't see the bird on the screen and all the while I was trying to follow it as it was flying and at one time, it felt like it was hovering over me :-O

Clicked...!

Just a random picture of a kid playing on the shores. Ah, the carefree days :o)

Lake Sebec

Thanks to our camping trip being cancelled, we ended up going to this place that was around an hour and a half's drive from where we lived. It was in a state park. So we got there and found out that it was 4$ each to enter the park, and like all students, we were complaining about it on our way in. And then, BEHOLD! we saw this lake and every one of us was like "This is so worth it". Someone started shouting "This is like Begnaas taal". And as for me, I was too busy shooting the clouds, the waters, children playing (yes, am going to post them) and some people swimming :-D.

Hues of sunset

Didn't want to break the chronological order of pictures but had to post a few of the pictures I took yesterday. Was going back to my place after a round of shopping and we happened to pass this bridge and so I HAD to come back here with my camera. This picture is one overlooking the "downtown". The reds/pinks/oranges didn't come out as well as I would have liked it to but am not complaining too much. Taken with a Canon Powershot S3 IS in Landscape mode.
