Red against blue

The colors did not actually come out right, but still I like how the red leaves look against the blue background of the sky. Taken with Kodak C330 during the Fall of 2006.

The best season in North East, if you ask me. These colors just makes it worth it, the snow, the rain, the impossible humidity and the chilling wind...

Hidden Cruise Ship

It was a cloudy day. A little bit of sun could've been so much better. But the view from the mountain ("hill") was perfect. There were two ships on the ocean. Taking a shot of one right before it disappeared behind the hills.

Picture perfect

A casual passing shot taken in Buffalo. Took it to capture the clouds but the train added a special touch to the picture. Taken with a Canon S3 IS.

Taken with the Kodak c330 in August 2006. A very idyllic and calm setting. It was after my dip in the river :o).

July 4th again

My second July 4th here in the US. Well we missed more than half of it to start with, we were still driving to the waterfront when the fireworks started. But then again, it was good while it lasted. But sadly I couldn't make good use of my Canon. Half the time I was trying to find the "fireworks" scene mode and rest of the time coping with learning to use it and then again there was the maybe I should look and not take pictures or take video and not pictures. Not at all impressed with what I could snap but I like this one particular picture, caught it when it had just started cracking up and so the sparks are dense and more colorful. And the "fireworks" mode does help make the picture less grainy.
