Flight

This shot took quite an effort. Just couldn't see the bird on the screen and all the while I was trying to follow it as it was flying and at one time, it felt like it was hovering over me :-O

Clicked...!

Just a random picture of a kid playing on the shores. Ah, the carefree days :o)

Lake Sebec

Thanks to our camping trip being cancelled, we ended up going to this place that was around an hour and a half's drive from where we lived. It was in a state park. So we got there and found out that it was 4$ each to enter the park, and like all students, we were complaining about it on our way in. And then, BEHOLD! we saw this lake and every one of us was like "This is so worth it". Someone started shouting "This is like Begnaas taal". And as for me, I was too busy shooting the clouds, the waters, children playing (yes, am going to post them) and some people swimming :-D.

Hues of sunset

Didn't want to break the chronological order of pictures but had to post a few of the pictures I took yesterday. Was going back to my place after a round of shopping and we happened to pass this bridge and so I HAD to come back here with my camera. This picture is one overlooking the "downtown". The reds/pinks/oranges didn't come out as well as I would have liked it to but am not complaining too much. Taken with a Canon Powershot S3 IS in Landscape mode.

Sunshine

Took this one with Kodak C330. Again. Summer days. Hiding beneath the trees to get away from the scorching heat. But the sunlight breaking through the trees and striking the path is just wonderful. One of my favorites.

Fireworks

Watching my first fireworks here in the US. Taken July 04, 2006 with the Kodak C330. One of the moments in my past when I wished I had a better camera. The shutter lag was frustrating but managed to capture a few of the lights and colors and smoke :)

Silhouetted

An attempt at a silhouette. Lots of areas to improve, like waiting for it to get a bit darker ;). Taken with a Kodak C330 in the summer of 2006.

White flowers

This picture was taken in mid May 2006. It's a bit wierd that the flowers come into full bloom in summer here and not in spring. Kodak C330 again.

Four eyed...

This was just a random picture I look of my glasses placed on my laptop. Love the light at the edge of the glass right where it touches the laptop. Taken with a Kodak C330.

Pretty weeds

I was just strolling by my new apartment and saw these pretty yellow "flowers". Loved the way it made the whole ground look. The yellow dots on the green. Taken in mid May 2006. Kodak Easyshare C330.

Corridors

This was my dorm floor for the Spring of 2006. It was generally quiet except for one time when some people decided to get together in the room next to me and decided to sing for all they cared till wee hours of the night until someone else too couldn't take it anymore and decided to give them a piece of his mind. Taken with a Kodak Easyshare C330. This camera served me well for almost a year. It's slow shutter speed sometimes drove me mad.

Lighting up the night

This was while I was waiting for a bus in Boston Downtown. Taken in the Spring of 2006. Panasonic Lumix.

March

Atop Bunker Hill in Boston. Spring 2006 trip. Using the same Panasonic camera.

A bird story

A seagull perching comfortably on a post. Taken from a bridge in Boston in Spring 2006 with the Panasonic. I love how the water looks in the picture.

White clouds, blue skies

Don't you all just love gazing at the clouds as they change their shapes? This picture was again taken in Boston in the Spring of 2006 with the Panasonic.

Ride of your life

Statue of Paul Revere in the East side of Boston. Was taken in the Spring of 2006. Was using a friend's Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30K 8MP Digital Camera with 12x Image Stabilized Optical Zoom. A very artistic sculpture.

Long due...

This blog has been long due. Some place to put up all the random photographs I have snapped. A place where I could talk about cameras for anyone who cares to listen. Just a place to get feedbacks for my photographs.

My journey from not owning a camera to owning a Kodak C330 to purchasing a Canon Powershot S3 IS. As I try and figure out all that this new camera has to offer, I will be taking pictures and posting them here and look forward to all your constructive criticism.

I have never learned a single thing of photography or cameras (I read reviews though, a hell of a lot of them) and I go with my instinct when I take pictures and I feel its time I learned something more to complement it.
